I could not remember some of the years in the early 80's so my guess is then.
I guess you are making a point that you expect an AL team to win next year, right?

My guess: Phillies and Milwaukee in the early 80's.
Having just looked it up, one of those teams didn't even win it and worse, they were an American League team at the time.
Some baseball fan I am.
