Getting Ready

Predictions are mostly worthless, so I will save you mine.  But, I think the Yankees and Phillies have similar lineups and similar starting rotations.  The difference to me is the bullpen- Philly has more questions.  But, the Phillies have been here before, 20-of-25 Yankees have not.  In addition, I think Charlie Manuel is a better manager than Joe Girardi.

Put it all together and you have the makings of a classic series.  I could see the Yankees winning it quickly.  I could see the Phillies taking it in 6 or 7.  I think the Yankees have a slight advantage, but Girardi could punt that away with bad decisions.  This is why you play the games and I can't wait for tonight.

Yankee sweep, simple, they have Arod on a mission.

At least the players get paid millions for their (false) confidence and high hopes. What facts do you have to back this up? History. Wake up nuyawkers

some odd choices by Girardi, after Hughes was ineffective he basically went to the lower tiered pitchers with it still only 4-0.

That is a small lead against the NYY

So, we've now scored one run in our last two World Series games combined, and needed a throwing error to score that run. Just great.

BL-

Definitely worth a second look. I don't think they would have won down 4-0 entering the ninth, but you are absolutely right that Bruney was a white flag of surrender.

And Tyler, I feel your pain. Think about the last Yankee to have a WS RBI....
