Tragedy Avoided
It seemed like the perfect plan at the time. My wife wanted to go see a play and since the actors were changing near the end of October, I looked at the playoff schedule and picked out the various dates where the Yankees would be off.
And that's why I was sitting in front of the tube last night with an extra rooting interest. The date we had settled on was tonight, October 26th, or the potential date of Game 7 after Saturday's rainout. I had various plans. One involved food poisoning- "I can't go honey, too sick." One involved the MLB.Com app, an IPhone and an earpiece, but I knew I was screwed if the series went to Monday. I would probably have ended up hauled out of a Broadway theatre for screaming for no apparent reason in the middle of a play.
Thankfully it never came to that and the play was pretty good as well.

I'm betting that a few of the actors would have called for understudies, too!
p.s. The cover of the Post today is TERRIBLE! Way to alienate every baseball fan who wears a skirt. As I used to scream at Stars games, "'You play like a girl' is a compliment!"

Gandolfini probably, he's from Jersey.
You shouldn't read the Post.
